In our new series,Stranded, were profiling people whose strands tell a story.

There are three types of music in the world.

The music they create under their band St. Beauty doesnt fit the confines of one genre.

We want to inspire people with our music, Valentino says.

When we go through something, we want to verbalize it so people can listen to it and relate.

I definitely felt empowered, Belle says.

Black hair has been a really big taboo for a long time, and people havent accepted it.

They pose with ease, both individually and in sync, hands grazing their strands like precious cargo.

Its a powerful visual, and one thats quickly re-created in a final shot.
